The shows are always filled with jaw-dropping plot twist that you didn’t see coming and finals that left you pleading for more. Most of the shows are filled with a lot of gore and horror, so be prepared before you dive in. 

The best thing about the American Horror Story franchise is each season is a new show within its self. Although Ryan Murphy did say each seasons somehow intertwine within each other, only one season doubled back to include favorite characters. Most of the actors always come back, just with new roles. Start you journey with Murder House and instantly fall in love. There is currently nine seasons of American Horror Story, so you won’t be bored anytime soon.

The show features Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina and is insanely dark and twisted that somehow leaves you craving more . The series is currently heading into its third season and trust us, once you start this show you won’t be able to stop watching it.

Christina Applegate plays a grieving widow, Jen, in this new Netflix show that also stars Linda Cardellini as Judy, her best friend. The show is a dark comedy that will leave you on the edge of your seat after the first two episodes and frantically pressing the next button to see the following episode. Episodes are also only thirty minutes each, so this is a really easy show to just sit back and relax to with some wine. The show is filled with plot twist that you wouldn’t see coming, so prepare yourself. The show currently just dropped its second season on Netflix, so head over before a spoiler happens.

If you loved Parks and Rec, then you’ll love The Good Place, after all it was created by Michael Schur. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop to the afterlife, called The Good Place. Eleanor soon realizes there’s been a glitch in the system and she’s been mistaken for someone else and doesn’t belong in The Good Place. The show is a comedy gem but also has some unexpected turns that you won’t see coming and the cast is great, I mean Kristen Bell stars in it, what more do you need? The show just wrapped on its fourth season and you can all of them on Netflix.

Jane the Virgin is over the top, which makes it an even better binge worthy show. The show is set after a telenovela but also hits on some hard issues in the world. The show follows Jane who was accidentally inseminated as a virgin and the journey she goes through. The show has a lot of strong female characters and great story telling. If you need a good laugh or cry, Jane the Virgin is the show for you. All five seasons are available to watch on Netflix now.

Yes we had to drop this documentary on here because it’s a must watch. The documentary follows Steven Avery, who was wrongfully convicted of rape. The documentary is ten episodes long and takes a deep dive into unchecked law enforcement and the criminal justice system. The show will instantly get you hooked and have you arguing with your roommate on if Avery committed a crime. The second seasons is in the works so a lot more is to come.

Prepare to feel good and laugh your butt off with Parks and Recreation. The show follows a workplace reality where we see a local parks and rec department located in Indiana. The show has an amazing cast including Amy Poelher, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Chris Pratt, and so much more. The comedy will always have you laughing and if you need a pick me up during this time, it’s a great place to start. The entire series is available on Netflix, including the special that just came out during this quarantine time.

If you haven’t binged this show yet, now is the time. This 80’s paranormal show is not only funny but also insanely suspenseful. It follows around a group of friends that get themselves into some paranormal activity that is almost too insane to believe. The show just wrapped their third season, with a trailer for the fourth already available.

Tina Fey dropped this comedy gem to Netflix in 2015 and it’s what we need during this quarantine. The show follows a girl who was held captive by a doomsday cult for 15 years. Kimmy now heads to New York to see what the modern world is like and meets some unlikely friends along the way. The show is filled with a goofy sense of humor and some cynicism. The show recently wrapped it’s fourth and final season but there is also a “choose your own adventure” movie up as well that features Daniel Radcliffe.

If you live for suspense then You is the perfect show for you. It stars Penn Badgley, who plays Joe Goldberg a bookstore manager who is also a serial killer. Throughout the show you follow Joe’s inner monologue, I guess to see why he does what he does. The show is suspenseful, a little insane, and really additive. The show was originally created after a book and currently has two seasons up on Netflix with a promise of a third to come.
